Snow is Pretty

The drive home from work yesterday was pretty.

Yeah, pretty.

Sure, I wasn't happy that I had to scrape the ice off my car and brush off the little bit of snow, but the snow stuck. Not only to my car, but to the branches and bushes, making everything white. I like it when snow does that.

It's times like these when I wish I had my camera (as it was too dark by the time I arrived at home). Then I wonder – who the heck would take the picture? Hello! I'm driving! So maybe it's better the camera stays at home.

It would be safer for me that way.

And…for something I haven't done in awhile. If you've been following The WRiTE CLUB, good for you. If not, get on over there and vote in Round 10. The first rounds will finish up this month. Then in February the finalists go head to head.

And when it's all over, I'll let you know if I was ever picked. Yeah, I submitted. No, I didn't use my real name. That's all I'm saying.

Oh, and before I forget - Happy Friday the 13th to my daughter!! They are her favorite days of the year.

It was 65 degrees yesterday. Today is 25. Snow is in the mountains. I've been living without a "real" winter for 4 years now and it's hard. My body puts on those layers of fat every year to survive, and last year it was justified, but this year it's driving me nuts.

Good luck with your entry in the Write Club!

The wind chill is -4 this morning. This is a day when I'm happy to admire the beautiful snow through my closed window.

I think snow is prettiest when I'm at home looking out the window! I'm not afraid to drive in it (and I know my limitations) but too many other peoples' limitations are way below mine. Good luck in the Write Club!

I'm not sure I like Blogger's setup for comments. It SAYS I have EST - so how do people comment BEFORE I post? Aggrevating! Of course, this comes from a person who doesn't like change when she saw nothing wrong with the way things were before. Oh well, enough of my rant!

Thanks for stopping by, folks! It is indeed a bitterly cold day today (nothing like driving in 31 mph winds going across the road!). And it's unusually cold in the office, too. Is it spring yet?

I don't like the new comment thing either. So I reset mine to a popout comment and so far, it's okay.

But this whole new changing the comment thing, when it was fine before, drives me nuts. And it's making me dislike Blogger. But I'm not ready to jump to WordPress, because I hate them even more.

There. I feel better. Thanks.

Whisk - I was going to just "Reply" with "You're welcome" except...the Reply button doesn't work! Okay, so maybe I'll try the pop-up thingie.

Yep - works much better now. Even fixed the time stamps.

Blogger needs to learn - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Cool beaners. I got the idea from my husband. He started with his in pop up and now I'm liking it. Much easier for me to answer everyone back.

Cheers & Boogie Boogie.

Thanks for the mention, Stacy! And I've just cracked the cover on Stephen Kings latest as well. Probably won't see the sun for quite awhile because of it. :)

Hey DL - 11/22/63 is good! Since I usually only read during lunch, I'm only about a quarter through it, but I could easily see me picking up the book at night to read.
