$6 Movie Night and Other Stuff

Last night I was in a blur. I completely forgot I told my daughter that we'd go to the movies after work. Thank goodness the flick didn't start until 7:00pm. No disastrous finagling of time at work (like last week), because I would have failed again – miserably!

We went to see Woman in Black. Sufficiently creepy, I'll tell you. And that's about all I'll say. If you like your horror movies on the "cleaner" side (meaning, not gross), then this is the movie for you. Had enough to make me jerk in my seat numerous times (and I fought the urge to cover my eyes). I think I even screamed a little at one scene.

Now, the reason the day was in a blur? I accepted a new job and quit the old. Yep. That's right. In two weeks I'll be driving to a new place of employment. A place closer to home. I couldn't believe how fast it all went. It wasn't all that long ago that I sent in my resume!

I look forward to the shorter drive into work. And I look forward to the change, but dread starting over. Because that's what I'm doing. If the drive wasn't killing me, I don't know if I would have quit the old – that's how much I hate starting over. Oh, sure, I would have bitched and groaned (just ask my husband), but starting over scares me more. I hope this is the last job I ever have to take.

I am most excited for you and I look forward to hearing about your new adventures.

Starting over might not be your cup of tea, but I bet the shorter drive will be well worth it.

Congrats and boogie boogie.

I believe it will be.

Hey, congrats on the new job! It'll be fine. That learning curve will be over in a few weeks and it'll be old hat in no time.

Ref: Woman in Black
I really wanted to see this, but scary movies scare me too much. I will have to watch it through other people's eyes.

Maria - yeah, I always panic I have to learn something new, but learning does come easily for me. I just have to remind myself that!

And if you don't like scary movies, I wouldn't recommend seeing Woman in Black. It's scary in that jump at you kind of way.

Congrats on the new job! :)

Me and my daughter saw WOMAN IN BLACK Friday. I'd give it an average rating. Most of the scary parts were in the trailer. :(

ooh yeah, starting a new job always stinks. BUT! Just think, in 2-3 months, it won't be a new job anymore, it'll just be your job. And a few months will go by super fast

You're right, Sarah. Time flies!

Thanks for stopping by.

Congrats on the new job, Stacy! Hope you love it - and not just the shorter drive.

Thanks, Jennette. I still can't believe how quick it all went. I think that's what's really gotten to me. I'm used to rejection after rejection after...well, you know. Getting another job has NEVER been this quick - or easy. At least, not for me (unlike my husband, who has NEVER had a problem in that department).
