MUSE! Pictures Included

Well, I survived the trip home from the Muse concert on Wednesday. That's not to say the trip was uneventful. Far from it. Besides taking 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot, it then took two hours to drive home, unlike the one hour it took to get there.

But let me tell you, even with all that driving in the snowstorm set to the music of Muse (and their music kind of fit at times), that concert was so worth it!

When they first set up, I told my daughter that it didn't seem like their set was as elaborate as the last time (two years ago). They had quite a set-up then and impressed the heck out of us. Well, I should have known better, I guess. Simplicity doesn't mean boring – not in the electronic age. Anyway, out of the 96 photos I took, here are a few for you to enjoy (eventually, I'll put them all on Facebook, once I figure out HOW):

Set after the first act finished (Dead Sara – which were okay) shows all this smoke. Have no idea where it came from. But as you can see – not much there (if you click on the photos, they will enlarge).

Here's what greeted us when we left the arena. Yikes!

Have a great day. I got all my short stories submitted (yay!) and now can concentrate on Book 5. Until I hear back from my editor, that is.

You deserve a break, after all the high-gear editing you've been up to. I deserve a kick in the pants...

That weather looks miserable. Hope you didn't have a hard time driving home in that.

Laura - Consider yourself kicked, then (if that's what you were hinting for!). :)

Maria - Let's just say I was glad I drove my SUV (4WD). Roads were pretty messy.

Oh dear. Should I admit I've never heard of Muse? I know, I'm very old. And I still listen to 50's and 60's music.

Linda - You aren't THAT much older than me. However, I love alternative and popular music. Never was much of a fan of the 50s and 60s (besides loving the Monkees and Beatles!), and I just love listening to new stuff.

Hi, Stacy. Muse, huh? I'm familiar with the name, but can't say I have any of their stuff on my iPod. I think my kids know them. I'll check them out. I'm always on the lookout for new tunes.
Thanks for tip and for sharing the pics.

Jimmy - Muse is great. I think being on the soundtrack of Twilight might have helped spread their popularity. All I know is I had a hard time finding them on the radio until then!

Very cool. The last concert we saw was Rasputina. Check out a sample here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qt4qfcY_zRA). I look forward to the day when I can take my kids to shows. (As long as it's not Bieber.)

Michael - I checked that out. That's some strange music!

Where did all that smoke come from. I wonder.
