Pinch Me, I Think I'm Dreaming

Yesterday I was told that my publisher, Lyrical Press, is now a division of Kensington Publishing. To say I was (am) shocked is putting it mildly. I always figured I’d need an agent to be part of Kensington. Did I luck out or what?

And the e-book of "My Sunny Vampire" releases on Monday!

Man! 2014 is already looking great. I can almost forget about the snow and cold weather.

Almost!

We got about 3-4 inches and then the winds came and blew it all around (I hate it when it does that). Temps fell into the single digits through the night. And I hear we’re to get more snow on Sunday and even colder weather on Monday. I guess Old Man Winter is sticking around for a bit now. Brrr!

Have you been watching any of the Bowl Games? I only watched the Rose Bowl on New Year's, but had more fun watching hockey played in snow in the Winter Classic. But tonight Ohio State plays against Clemson in the Orange Bowl, so I'll definitely be watching that. Go Buckeyes!

Have a good weekend. I know I will. I’m still floating!

You think you're in shock? How do you think I feel? :) I still need someone to pinch me because I think I'm dreaming, too!

Renee - You had to have been about BUSTING before you could tell anyone! I don't envy that! :)

I hope it turns out good for you--though I'd wait and see before celebrating.

You're under their umbrella, true, but about the only "perk" you'll see in future Lyrical contracts is that it'll probably look more like a Kensington contract. That means it'll be tighter with terms and less amenable to changes.

Carina is a part of Harlequin. I think I would've had a fairer contract had they been an independent publisher.

But you never know. Maybe Kensington will be different. I hope so.

Here's to celebrating all the fun you're gonna have in 2014, as well as the successes that will follow.

Cheers to you, Stacy.

Thanks, Maria. I'm highly optimistic!

Ivy - So far it looks like 2014 will be lots of fun. Now, if it would only be WARM outside! Haha! :)

SQUEE! Congratulations! That's awesome news.

Stay warm up there. We've got the cold snap down here, too, just not quite the lows you're getting up there. :shiver:

Thanks, B.E.! Yeah, it's cold here. Could be worse. We could live in Maine. Which is funny, considering my husband told me how much he liked that state and wouldn't mind living there. And it is pretty. But I told him if we EVER moved (and we won't, we know this), we'd move SOUTH. Preferrably closer to the beach. I miss the beach.

Congrats, Stacy. That's great! And not because of the snow. grin.

Good to see your staying highly optimistic. I had thought you would and that's great. You rock.

Thanks, Sandra!

You rock, too, Ivy!!

Jeff - We'll be seeing that kind of temps on Tuesday. Brrr. Truly, I feel like we're back in Alaska. Not an experience I wanted to repeat!

Congrats on the new publisher!

We got a tonne of snow last night and it just keeps on coming. It is really cold too. No sun either, just snow clouds.
