I Feel Like CRAP!

I’ve been battling the end stages of chest congestion, meaning I’ve been coughing for the past month. It happens whenever I get sick. It settles in my chest and drives me (and everyone around me) nuts. So I was none too happy to have a relapse on Wednesday night.

Except this time it was worse. More congestion than the last time. Sore throat and achy muscles accompanied the cough. Yeah, I feel like crap.

By Thursday afternoon I was gaining some life back, but not enough to really do anything. You know, like edit or write. I managed to get some reading in, but of a book I had read before. I already knew what was going to happen, so I didn’t have to focus all that hard on the story. You know?

Hopefully, I’ll be better by next weekend. I’m going to the Lori Foster Reader Author Get Together and the last thing I need is to be sick. No fun for me. No fun for the attendees. And I certainly don’t want to pass this bug around.

So I’ll just stay inside and rest and hope for the best.

Have a good weekend.

Stacy

Sorry to hear you feel like crap. :hugs: Fingers crossed it disappears soon so you can enjoy your event.

Thanks, B.E. At least I didn't wake up achy this morning. That's gotta be a good sign! :)

The older we get...the longer it lasts. My winter version lasted a couple months about killing me when it dropped into my chest. I don't like to go to the Dr. He saw me twice on this go around. :(

Mac - It didn't help that I came down with pneumonia when I was 28. I was warned then that I would be susceptible to bronchitis. But I hate doctors and drugs, so I never go. I probably should.

I am just now getting rid of the crud I've had since the end of March. UGH. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry to hear you're sick. Sounds like conference crud. Contact with too many people with too many germs. :(

Hope you're well soon.

Thanks, Jennette! Me too!! :)

Maria - I'm thinking I got this crud from our friend, who happened to come down with it while we were in Gatlinburg. He wanted to blame me for it (since I was coughing), but I didn't have his symptons...until now!

It's not fun being sick and I'm sorry you're not doing so hot. Hang in there and get better.

Thanks, Ivy. You're right. Not fun at all.

Thanks, Bonnie. I hope the Blackhawks win tonight. Maybe that will make me feel better. :)

Thanks, Sandra. I felt a little better AFTER I was able to send my edits on to my editor. But then, that always makes me feel better. :)
