Pictures from RT!

Well, I finally copied those pictures from my camera to my computer. Yeah, I know. Took me long enough! Remember, if you click on the photo, it should enlarge.

This little guy was inside Mardi Gras World. I thought he looked interesting. Heck, a lot of things looked interesting in there, but we were all marching along and I didn't want to lose my friends, so I didn't stop to take many pictures (and the other ones didn't turn out so well).

See... Proof I was there. My name is listed on the 1:30 column for Thursday and...

I'm listed on the 2:00 column for Friday. Pretty cool, huh? I thought so.

This was my "table" at the Kensington Karmic Karnival. Notice anything unusual? Hmmm? By the way, there WERE five globes before one landed in my bag (haha!).

Us digital first authors sat at a long table along one wall while those authors who had physical books had their own table. This was taken before the crowd descended upon us. Yeah, like I was going to try and take any pictures then.

This was taken inside Pat O'Brien's Pub. Kensington took over this pub during the Pub Crawl. The place is tiny and the people crowded around. Good thing I wasn't claustrophobic!

On Friday morning, the hubby and I walked over to Cafe Du Monde. Those beignets were delicious (and the only thing they sell, well, besides coffee and other drinks). We ended up returning Saturday night for dessert!

Carriage ride anyone? Artists were also selling some pictures (hung on the fence). We didn't take a carriage ride, but it might have been fun. Not sure how much it cost, though.

Here's my space at the big book signing. My friend, Tracey Reid, gave me that banner. Isn't she the greatest? I didn't get a shot after they checked in my books because once I sat in that seat, I wasn't leaving until the end!

Can you see why? Haha! There were three rows of tables behind me, too. This was just the indie side. I didn't get a look at the traditional publisher side. I'm sure it was larger. However, those authors had a bit more room than we did. Really packed us in, didn't they?

So, there are my pictures. Not much, I know. One of these days I'm going to get braver with the camera. Don't know what day that will be. Maybe once I start gaining fans. Yeah, that's when! Haha!

Next convention: Lori Fosters Reader Author Get Together. That's held June 5-8 in West Chester, Ohio. It's a LOT smaller than RT (500 participants max), but more relaxing, that's for sure. Well, as relaxing as conventions can be, that is. I'm bringing a friend along, so maybe I'll put her in charge of the camera!

So... Doing anything special this holiday weekend? I'll be going down to Gatlinburg with my hubby and some friends. Plan on doing a little bit of hiking in the Smoky Mountains. Should have good weather. I'm really looking forward to this trip. It'll be a nice relaxing time (between two stressful conventions!).

Have a good weekend!

Stacy

Love seeing pictures. Though I was a tad distracted by the dude that looked like a yellow and green skittles

Looks like you had a great time! Me, I get claustrophobic in crowds, so I'll just live the conventions vicariously. Have a great weekend!

Stacy,
Wow they really packed you in there for the book signing.
Café Du Monde is the best for beignets. I love the snow globes.
Looks like it was a lot of fun.

Jennette - If it weren't for the fact I was expected at the Pub, I wouldn't have gone, claustrophobic or not (especially when I saw the lines -- yikes!).

Bonnie - My most fun parts were the parts I spent with my hubby. I'm glad he was able to tag along. Made the trip better for me.

Pic #5: Man, those pants are YELLOW!

Jeff - Fun is a strong word. Let's just say I survived! Haha!

Michael - I never noticed those pants until Ivy said something. I was more interested in the overall scene, not the people walking pass. Guess I'm not as observant as I thought! :)

E.W. - And what you have to look forward to, right??? :)

Donna - Thanks. I can look back on it more fondly than I did while I was there. Wonder why that is? :)

I think I'm all caught up on your blog. You've been busy. I've been on staycation, which is nearly over.

But boy, was it fun while it lasted. Cheers to you and your hubby. Boogie boogie.
