Happy Birthday to MEEEEE!

My very best friend (the one who lives in Columbus) got me an early birthday present on Tuesday. And it’s an AWESOME present, too! Get this—while at Dragon*Con, I will be getting my picture taken with this guy:

Picture of Karl Urban
KARL URBAN!!!!

Squeee!!!!

Of course, ever since she told me, I’ve been wondering what I should wear for the event. Then someone sent a link for this shirt: http://teespring.com/ImARomanceWriter3

I bought one. Ain’t it the coolest? I think it will be PERFECT for Karl Urban AND Dragon*Con! So now I’m all set. Let’s hope I don’t faint on the guy!

You can laugh, but that could very well happen!

Since today is my birthday, I think I may just play hooky and read and watch some TV (I’m recording the series Extant and I have an episode to watch). And if it’s nice out (and it should be), maybe I’ll walk somewhere for breakfast. Tim Horton’s isn’t THAT far away (little less than 2 miles) and I have this coupon for a free donut (if I buy a coffee—yeah, like you have to twist my arm to do that!). Sometimes it’s more fun to walk to a destination than to just walk, you know? And if I’m walking close to 4 miles, I’ll need a break in there somewhere. Right? Hahahahahaha!!!

For dinner I’ll be going to Outback with the family. Later, hopefully we’ll sit around and play games. I like doing that.

Should be a great day. At least I’m going to make sure it is! J Because if I don’t do it, who else will?

So… What’s one of the best present you’ve ever gotten?

Stacy

I really have no idea who these people are. Karl Urban's name is familiar, and his face is familiar, but I had to look him up to see what he's been in. I'm just not with it.

Anyway--have a great birthday! That's a great present to get from your friend--enjoy the weekend!

Happy birthday, sweetie! If down the road, I read that Karl Urban was 'seen' with a writer friend, I'll know it was you. :)

Have a great birthday!

Jeff - You don't watch Star Trek? Not a fan of the now-defunct Almost Human? Actually, I really noticed him first on Red and now I just want to watch everything with him in it.

Maria - Wouldn't THAT be something? HeeHee.

Happy Happy Birthday!

Have you watched the real Almost Human yet? The UK one.

Thank you, Ivy - Are you thinking about Being Human? Almost Human is set in the future with a cop (Urban) having an android as a partner. I loved Being Human, too, (the cast will also be at Dragon*Con) but have never seen the BBC version.

Happy BD! Sounds like a fun one!

My best prezzie? Learning my preordered Camaro had been produced. I didn't get it until 3 weeks later, but it was worth the wait!

I didn't know who Karl Urban was either. I need to watch TV once in a while!

Jennette - Ooh, getting a car for your birthday sounds pretty awesome, too!

Yes, my bad. I like the UK one, or I did but then I stopped watching it. Don't care for the mockery of the US one. But to each their own.

I'm assuming we'll get to see the picture here when you get it, yes? That's really too cool. And I liked him in Red before Almost Human, too.

Happy Birthday!

LD - I'll be getting the picture digital, too, so you bet I'll be posting it here! And on Facebook. And if I'm on Twitter by then, there, too! Haha! :)

Stacy--I haven't seen either of the latest Star Trek reboots, or Almost Human (don't watch much TV at all at this point). Somewhere along the line, I lost touch with that side of life!
