My Favorite Reads in 2014

I did not reach my goal to read 90 books this year. Came close, though. Only two books short! And I’m reading one of them. And while I could EASILY finish that book in time, I have writing/editing that MUST come first.

Yeah, priorities. They suck, don’t they?

Anyway, here are the books I read in 2014 that I gave 5 stars on Goodreads, in the order I read them (number indicates overall reading order):

Forty books out of 88. Not too shabby, considering I read a bunch of new authors this year. I’m not sure I’ll make my goal the same next year, though. I hate not reaching goals. What do you think? Go for 90 again or lower it to 80 (because I don’t plan on reading as many novellas)?

So… you have any plans for tonight? We’ll be heading to Columbus to my friend’s. She’s fixing surf & turf (lobster tail & filet). Usually it’s just 4 of us, but looks to be a larger group this year. I’m taking a card game with us that my son & daughter said would be fun (but not a game they will play with us). It’s called Cards Against Humanity. Ever hear of it? If not, look it up here. J Looks to be a fun night!

Happy New Year and Happy Reading!

OH, my, Cards Against Humanity is hilarious! Not for the faint of heart or easily offended, however. Have a great time and happy New Year!

Jeff - I am SO looking forward to playing that game. Several of us were in the Army, doubt we can be offended! :)

Congrats on all your reading. Not sure about another goal the same, because for the most part, this is the same and you've beaten it for the most part.

Whatever you decide, I look forward to reading about it.

No plans. I'm on a quick break from cleaning. Every room torn apart, music blasting.

Happy 2015.

Ivy - Music blasting while cleaning is the ONLY way I can clean, too. Don't know if I'd be hitting more than one room at a time, though. I think you have more energy than I do! Have fun! :)

I never stay up to see the new year. I find it gets here whether I stay up to greet it or not. :)

Maria - Most of the time I'm up until 11:30, so another 30 minutes isn't much. :) Happy New Year!

How about a compromise and shoot for 85? Happy New Year, Stacy. May it be the best yet.

Sandra - I decided to try and shoot for 90 again. I might actually make it this year!
