New Music Monday

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been REALLY lazy lately. Friday I posted a journal entry and today a video. So sue me.

Okay, don't sue me. I can't afford that.

Muse's new album will be released on June 8th. Yay! I'll be getting that one for sure. I love Muse. I became curious about them when I read the Twilight books because Stephenie Meyer mentioned their music giving her inspiration. I hadn't ever heard of the group before that and wanted to know more. Wasn't quite sure what I thought of their music at first, but they really grew on me. So much so, I've been to two of their concerts, which were AWESOME. They certainly know how to entertain.

Here's one of their latest releases on this New Music Monday. Hope you enjoy it.

I sure hope that flour/dust/whatever was added digitally AFTER the dance. I can't imagine breathing in that stuff!

So... do you like listening to new music or prefer the stuff you grew up with? I like them both and have them mixed on my iPod.

They remind me a bit of some 80s band whose name I can't come up with now.

I try to listen to new stuff; the problem is, my memory retention is worse, so I hear something I like but don't necessarily remember who it is!

Jeff - I have the same problem trying to remember the names of new bands. That's what I love about my XM Sirius radio. The band is displayed and I only have to push a button to see the song title. Of course, it takes SEVERAL times for me to see the name for it to finally sink into my brain! :)

I like new stuff AND the old! Only problem is, since I quit listening to the radio much (just same ol' same ol' ClearChannel crap), it's a bit tricky to discover new stuff.

My husband tends to stick with what he listened to in high school.

Jennette - Yeah, there aren't any good radio stations in the area the play new stuff.

I mostly listen to oldies but occasionally I pick up a new artist. My favorite contemporary artist is Adele.

Her video for Rolling in the Deep uses the same dust background for one of her dancers. I absolutely adore it. I only hope the dancer wore a mask. No matter what the dust is made of, it can't be good for their lungs.

Maria - I'm hoping all that dust was added later. **cough cough**

By the way... my cough is pretty much GONE. Yay!

I wish it had been, too.

Ivy - Sorry to hear that. :(
