A Surprise and a Disappointment

I can’t help to think I got lucky Friday. First I get the biggest surprise ever by being Blitzed (thanks to DL Hammons http://www.dlhammons.com). Even better, I managed to have a decent post. Whew! So glad I had some fun pictures to share.

Hmmm… Maybe I should start a theme: Friday Fotos. It’d give me something to shoot for each week.

Haha. Shoot—camera. Get it? J Nevermind. I can hear you groaning from here.

But what would I take pictures of? If I had a pet, that would be so easy to do, but I don’t have any pets. I think this will require more thought, or some suggestions from you readers (and maybe a stock pile of photos).

* * * *

I’m so jealous. My daughter was given a ticket to see the Stanley Cup in Pittsburgh (even though she has touched it when we went to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto--see picture). Then, when she gets there, realizes that the ticket was for a group (not a person). We could have gone with her. Waaaaa!

I know, I know. I saw the cup in Toronto, too. Still… It’s Pittsburgh. And it’s not like I had anything pressing to do yesterday. We could have gone to Peppi’s to eat, too. And I could have taken some pictures…

Ah man, now I’m really bummed.

So… Is there anything (or place) you would drive 4 hours to go see spur of the moment?

Have a happy Monday!

Stacy

Some years ago, when I worked in New York City, the Hockey Hall of Fame brought an exhibition to Grand Central Station, including the Cup. Somewhere, I still have a crummy Polaroid of myself and two friends posing around the Cup. What a thrill that was!

Bummer on the Stanley Cup trip.

Fridays tend to be slow blog days (unless you're part of a planned hop). I think people are tired and thinking about the weekend.

Photos are good. Even one good photo could tell a story. Animals always bring on comments. Maybe pics of your home town or events? Not everyone lives in Ohio. We don't know what you know. :)

Oh, bummer! That would've been so cool to see them at home.
Glad you had a good time with the Blitz.

Jeff - It's strange how a trophy can get people all excited, huh? I guess you just think about all the people that have touched (and kissed) that thing. It's pretty awesome.

Maria - I'll have to remember to take pictures whenever I see something interesting. It's still not ingrained in my brain to do that, but I am getting better. The iPhone helps, since I usually have that thing.

Alex - It would have been cool. But then, so would visiting Pittsburgh. Since my friend moved, I don't get to visit it as often.

I'm glad you enjoyed the BLITZ -- and it was a great post for one! :)

DL - Thanks for thinking of me!

Wow, this place has gotten popular!

Bummer about the game - that would have been great. I don't do spur-of-the-moment too well, but I might if it was my favorite band, who I've never seen live.

Jennette - I've never gone to a concert spur-of-the moment. I usually know about my favorite bands before tickets go on sale! :)
