Pictures from the First Ever Rust City Book Con

I don’t have many pictures to share. And I got some of them from Facebook (Jackie Morgan—the lady who organized this con).

Not many people attended (I think I heard 85), but it was put together very well. The panels had good discussions and were fun. I just wish more people had come during the book signing (I had zero sales).

I ate too much on Saturday and paid for it on Sunday. I sometimes think a food hangover is just as bad as an alcohol one (but man, those cupcakes were sooooo good!!!). Plus, I really didn’t drink near enough water. We’ll see how I feel this morning whether I go to the fitness center or not. I’m not setting the alarm!

Anyway, here are some pictures, if only to prove I was there!

Here's a shot I took of my part of the table.

Donna MacMeans was nice to take my picture!

I finally met Sassy Kristina Knight. We both get a chance to take over the Sizzle and Sass Page (something like 3 times a year).

I was part of the Mad Libs panel and boy, was I in for a surprise. Jackie used the blurb to Blind Temptation and the result was funny!

Here I am sitting on the panel (way over on the end).

Okay, now it’s time for me to recover. Happy Monday!

Eighty-five doesn't seem like such a bad number--glad you had a good time!

Jeff - Half (or more than half) were authors, but for a first-time con, it really wasn't that bad. Don't know if I'll go next year, but then who knows! I tend to change my mind--a lot! :)

I think you're right about food hangovers. We once went to a Brazilian steak house where servers make rounds with various types of meat. I couldn't look at another piece of meat for a week after that.

Actually, I think 85 is a pretty good number. If half were authors, you made some great new friends. It looks like you had a good day!

Maria - I need to eat more fruit and veggies! At least I feel better today.

Valerie - I know I have to stop thinking about sales and think more on the exposure. So hopefully some people will remember me! :)

At least you had fun, so not a total loss! Still, bummer about the book sales. Hopefully they'll go buy ebooks online. :)

Jennette - I did have fun. Some of the meet and greets were hilarious.

Hope you're all recovered by now.

Ivy - I'm still getting there. I'm blaming the Olympics now, though. Haha! :)
