Pictures of my Posters

I got my posters back from Michael's yesterday and remembered to take pictures of those and the rest of my posters so I'd have something to blog about. That's because I didn't have anything else written! Can't miss a Friday, now can I?

Pictures aren't the greatest. They might have turned out better if I'd have taken them during the day (natural light), but I'm apparently not smart like that.

I have no idea where the new posters will hang. Hubby didn't realize how large they were! Remember, if you click on the photo, it will get bigger and easier to see.

One of the new ones--a VanGogh print. I love VanGogh!

Another new one.
I'm not a huge fan of Picasso, but Hubby liked
this print.

Last of the new ones.
This Monet looks better in person. Honest!
I bought this poster when I visited the MET back in the 80s.
I was there during a class field trip for an art class I needed for
my photography degree (at Brookdale Comm College in NJ)
When I saw this painting in person, I just had to have the
poster. Beautiful! It hangs in the living room.

This was the other VanGogh poster I got
while visiting the MET in the 80s. It hangs
in the dining room.
This is a VanGogh poster we got at an auction
(and it hangs in the family room). We used to
attend lots of auctions. Got our dining room set that way.

We also got this Monet poster at an auction. Certainly
cheaper than what I just did with those new three posters!
This one hangs in the dining room.

I saw this neat VanGogh ensemble at a store
and couldn't resist getting it (one of these days
I'll get a copy of Starry Night--I love that one).
This hangs in the living room.
Couldn't seem to get rid of the glare!

Hubby won this poster in a drawing at the Dayton Art
Institute. He's a huge Beatles fan. It hangs in the living room.

So... Got any favorites in the bunch? Do you have any framed posters? If so, what kind?

Have a great Friday!

I like the first Van Gogh best, I think. And it looks huge! Have a great weekend.

You had some classics framed!

Jeff - That first one is 34 x 30, so yep, pretty big. It may end up in the dining room. Hubby wants to put some in our bedroom, but then no one else will be able to see them! Not that we get that many visitors to begin with.

Alex - I love the colors!

I prefer paintings to posters, but I have framed some prints with the right matting and wide frames to make them look like paintings.

PS You have good taste in artists. :)

Maria - I have an Ansel Adams photo that is matted & framed, and I love it. But real artwork? I'm afraid it would get dusty, or worse... fade.
