More Pictures of the House

Our closing date has moved to May 23rd (instead of May 9th), but that's okay. I kind of expected it since we'd had all that rain (and snow). Yesterday we got to walk through the house! Kind of hard to picture the rooms since the drywall isn't installed, but I took some pictures anyway.

From great room looking toward front of house. Kitchen is on the
right (island is partially framed in).

Taken through the master bedroom "wall" is a view of the sun room.
You can see what kind of view I'll have from there.

View from the upstairs bonus bedroom.

Steps lead up to the bonus bedroom.

Our back yard view. I have a feeling the lake will contain
lots of geese someday. There were already a few there.

Sun room. You can also see how close we are to our neighbor.

Front door entry.
I look forward to the day the siding is added. Due to the rain, they're behind. We're like seventh on the list. Once it's up, I'll get more pictures.

Yesterday the temps reached the mid 70s! It was so nice. I wish it would last, but no such luck. At least it doesn't appear to be getting as cold as freezing, so there's that.

Hubby won two tickets to Sunday's Reds game. Awesome seats. If I remember to take pictures, I'll post them on Monday (if I remember--haha!).

Wednesday's Penguins game was awesome! Sure hope they play the same aggressive game tonight (they're fun to watch that way!). So cool to actually get to see one of Sid's batted in goals. I'll miss Sunday's game because of the Reds, but hopefully I'll catch the end of it. I wouldn't mind a sweep, but know that's virtually impossible with these games. I can hope, though.

So... Today is Friday the 13th (I just noticed that as I went to post). Are you superstitious? Or do you like to drive superstitious people nuts? I've been known to do the latter.

Happy Friday (the 13th)!

Stacy

Love that sun room--that looks like it will be a very nice place to sit and relax.

Sean Kuraly batted in a goal for the Bruins last night, but you'll never know because he's not Crosby.

I commented somewhere just before the playoffs started that I thought the Flyers were the team most likely to go on a tear and win 10 straight. I also think they're the team most likely to lose four straight. The Penguins should be able to put them down without too much trouble.

I'm so excited for you. I'm assuming the lake is a communal lake. If they add some landscaping and rushes around the lake it would really bring in the wildlife.

My friend lives in a neighborhood with a community lake. It was plain when she moved in but eventually the Board opted to spend some money on landscaping. Now there's fishing, turtles, and birds of all types. They really raised the value of their properties with that one addition.

Are you packing up yet?

Jeff - I know Sid isn't the only one who can bat in goals, but he sure seems to do it A LOT!

Maria - It's a retention pond, so not sure how much landscaping the developer will put in. It may just stay like it is. But we don't necessarily want the Canadian geese. They can be quite a nuisance. As for packing? Hahahahahahaha!

I'm excited for you. I hope I never have to move again, but, for some reason, I'm constantly designing my dream home in my head.

I love that corridor leading to your front door. I can imagine that having the feel of a hidden courtyard.

Good luck!

Erin - This SHOULD be our last house. It better be, anyway. And no hidden courtyard. Just the front yard, which isn't all that big. :)

Aside from the stairs, I love it all.

Ivy - The stairs only lead to the guest bedroom. Nothing else is up there!

I get that for sure and that works for you guys, excellent.

I'm not into second floors of any kind. I like one level but I get that not everyone does.
