But sometimes one will linger, especially when it scares the crap out of me!

Jemi - I had one vivid dream when I was a kid - thought my parents were going to kill me. I was afraid to go near them for two days, that's how real it felt. I finally confessed and boy, did I feel better (and a little silly)!Stacy McKitrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07898731847653710759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917316172488329464.post-61935040724586137472013-04-05T17:08:56.528-04:002013-04-05T17:08:56.528-04:00My dreams tend to be on the scary/terrifying side ...My dreams tend to be on the scary/terrifying side so I try hard to forget them. Most people in my family don't dream much and rarely remember their dreams. Mine can be SO vivid. *shudder*Jemi Fraserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02214408467456320167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917316172488329464.post-23125445902092798802013-04-05T14:41:08.913-04:002013-04-05T14:41:08.913-04:00Sadly, I'm one of those people who loses my dr...Sadly, I'm one of those people who loses my dreams as I wake up. I know some people have taught themselves to do this, but I've always done it naturally.

All I can tell you is that while you're dreaming, you're also 'talking' to yourself, making you more aware of your dream setting. So when I'm 'falling to my inevitable death' I know it's just a dream and I ride it down.

It's kind of like reading a good book. You feel like you're part of the action, but you know you're not really in the story.Maria Zanninihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01604862636922299273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917316172488329464.post-13755089380153438272013-04-05T09:05:17.638-04:002013-04-05T09:05:17.638-04:00Maria - Now that you mention the frustration of th...Maria - Now that you mention the frustration of those bathroom dreams, I realized that since I lost my job in June and have been writing everyday, I haven't had one of those dreams, either. I hope I never do, too.

As for staying in a dream, you'll have to tell me how to do that!! It could mean you feel frustrated or blocked from doing what you want to do. Maybe you're not doing enough for yourself.

Exploring a house: I love this one too. I always find an entire wing of old and rare things shelved in perfect order, waiting for me to explore.

Falling off a cliff: LOL! Mine is having a bridge collapse underneath me. Yikes! The only strange thing about that one with me is that I always land safely--even though I should be dead.

You should try to stay in the dream all the way. You might find that you survive your fall.Maria Zanninihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01604862636922299273noreply@blogger.com
