And when winter returns, I have to give up walking outside. :(Stacy McKitrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07898731847653710759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917316172488329464.post-68054892137530643682016-06-08T16:16:22.469-04:002016-06-08T16:16:22.469-04:00I read on my treadmill, too--and it's malfunct...I read on my treadmill, too--and it's malfunctioning. I'm trying to get a new one, but I've thought, "Well, I could just walk outside" and my immediate thought following that is, "But that's my reading time!"Stephanie Farishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10461865229341760836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917316172488329464.post-81282886380976586212016-06-08T11:09:53.712-04:002016-06-08T11:09:53.712-04:00Jeff - There was another movie version done before...Jeff - There was another movie version done before "Omega Man": "Last Man on Earth" (1964), starring Vincent Price (I haven't seen that one, either, but now I'm curious). When Charleton Heston read I Am Legend, he suggested it would be a good movie, then told it was already done. Haha!

Maria - I was surprised at all that Richard Matheson wrote (books/screenplays), yet never heard of his name until now. Yep, I'm living under a rock. :)Stacy McKitrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07898731847653710759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917316172488329464.post-90964191562702934442016-06-08T07:50:34.773-04:002016-06-08T07:50:34.773-04:00Richard Matheson is one of my all time favorite au...Richard Matheson is one of my all time favorite authors. Many of his stories had been turned into movies or been episodes on the Twilight Zone. He writes mainly about the metaphysical which has always fascinated me.Maria Zanninihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01604862636922299273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917316172488329464.post-69950276244161833132016-06-08T06:10:40.833-04:002016-06-08T06:10:40.833-04:00If memory serves, there's at least one other f...If memory serves, there's at least one other film version of "I Am Legend" out there that came between "The Omega Man" and Will Smith's more recent upgrade. I read the novella a few years back and found some of it felt somewhat dated (stylistically, I think), but I agree, I think story wise it was far better than either of those two film versions. Especially the ending!JeffOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07947660745120963286noreply@blogger.com
