What’s your idea of a vacation? Do you dream of going on a cruise? Going to Europe? Hawaii? Alaska?
Or do you prefer to stay at home where it’s quite, safe, and cheaper?
But if money wasn’t a REAL issue, what place sounds like fun?
My husband wants to see Yellowstone National Park. I’ve been there and I’m not keen on camping. But I could probably handle a lodge with all the amenities.
But to be honest, I can’t think of any place I want to see. Especially now, when what I consider a vacation is free time to write!
Hmmm, a cruise is sounding pretty good about now… I can write and not be expected to cook. I think we have a winner!
But please, share your ideas. I could always change my mind.

Oh, Stacy! I have been on two cruises and I LOVE THEM! You've got to go. We did the Long Beach, Ca. to Catalina and Ensenada (four days). A couple of years later we did the San Diego to Cabo San Lucas (five days). I would really love to do the Mexican Riveria next. Perhaps Alaska. You would have plenty of time to write, too.
If you get a chance, you've got to do it.

I would love to go to Norway and Scotland. Yes, I love Vikings and Highlanders :)
Jimmy - I've been on two cruises, too, and I think they have been the best vacation for me. They spoil you rotten, that's for sure. And an Alaskan cruise is tempting (we were stationed in Fairbanks, so we would love to go back to the state).
VP - Scotland, I could see (my grandfather was born there), but Norway doesn't draw me. That's not to say I wouldn't enjoy visiting, but I think I would have a problem with the language barrier (I had enough trouble with Montreal, Canada!).
Thanks for the suggestions!
There are so many places I'd like to see! In the U.S., I would like to see Yellowstone. I'd like to go to Niagara Falls, the mountains and The Grand Canyon. I think a cruise would be amazing. I love the ocean, so any beach would be okay with me, too. :)
I went on a cruise when I was 18 and I absolutely loved it. Then when my two oldest boys were little I went to Jamaica for a week and that was fabulous as well. To me a vacation is just getting away and having time to do whatever I want even if that means doing nothing at all. My favorite affordable vacation is to take a 3 or 4 day weekend in New Orleans; one of my favorite places on earth.
I love to travel and there are a million places I want to see some day. Romania, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, France, Tibet, Australia, Africa... I actually can't think of too many places that I wouldn't want to go if I had the time and the money.
Right at the moment a week at an all inclusive somewhere warm and sunny by the ocean sounds fabulous.
Jessica - the beach sounds good (preferrably one in a warm climate right now). I grew up near the ocean. I love the sound of the waves hitting the shore.
Mary - I like to travel within in U.S, but not so much out. It's gotten to be such a hassle. That's not relaxing at all! But right now someplace warm sounds good.
