New Music Monday

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been REALLY lazy lately. Friday I posted a journal entry and today a video. So sue me.

Okay, don't sue me. I can't afford that.

Muse's new album will be released on June 8th. Yay! I'll be getting that one for sure. I love Muse. I became curious about them when I read the Twilight books because Stephenie Meyer mentioned their music giving her inspiration. I hadn't ever heard of the group before that and wanted to know more. Wasn't quite sure what I thought of their music at first, but they really grew on me. So much so, I've been to two of their concerts, which were AWESOME. They certainly know how to entertain.

Here's one of their latest releases on this New Music Monday. Hope you enjoy it.

I sure hope that flour/dust/whatever was added digitally AFTER the dance. I can't imagine breathing in that stuff!

So... do you like listening to new music or prefer the stuff you grew up with? I like them both and have them mixed on my iPod.

MUSE! Pictures Included

Well, I survived the trip home from the Muse concert on Wednesday. That's not to say the trip was uneventful. Far from it. Besides taking 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot, it then took two hours to drive home, unlike the one hour it took to get there.

But let me tell you, even with all that driving in the snowstorm set to the music of Muse (and their music kind of fit at times), that concert was so worth it!

When they first set up, I told my daughter that it didn't seem like their set was as elaborate as the last time (two years ago). They had quite a set-up then and impressed the heck out of us. Well, I should have known better, I guess. Simplicity doesn't mean boring – not in the electronic age. Anyway, out of the 96 photos I took, here are a few for you to enjoy (eventually, I'll put them all on Facebook, once I figure out HOW):

Set after the first act finished (Dead Sara – which were okay) shows all this smoke. Have no idea where it came from. But as you can see – not much there (if you click on the photos, they will enlarge).

Here's what greeted us when we left the arena. Yikes!

Have a great day. I got all my short stories submitted (yay!) and now can concentrate on Book 5. Until I hear back from my editor, that is.
