Tomorrow the daughter and I will be going to Columbus to attend a Muse
concert! Oh joy! We saw them a few years back and loved it. So glad they're
returning. Can't wait to see them again.
This afternoon registration opens for the Lori FosterReader/Author Get Together. I expect it will fill up quickly, so I'm registering as soon as I can.
I enjoy this little convention. It's right down the road, and the price is
reasonable, too.
My husband will be in Kentucky
this week. Four whole days! If it weren't for my concert, I would have
accompanied him. Instead, I'll just miss him.
However, this trip is turning out like all his others when
he leaves his car behind (the convertible – visit this POST
to see my rant from last year). Yeah, I know it's too cold to put the top down,
and normally I don't want to drive it when the top is up, but I had planned on
taking his car to Columbus for the concert (it gets better gas mileage and
plus, he has more gas in his car). But alas, it is not to be. Apparently a rock
hit his windshield and it started to crack. We didn't notice it until we were at
the mall on Saturday. Then on the drive back, noticed it got larger. Okay, so
no driving this car until it's fixed. And when will that be? On Thursday, the
day my husband RETURNS. I sometimes think he plans it this way!
I got one of my short stories submitted to the anthology and hope to have the second later this week – once I feel comfortable with the story. I'm almost there, too. When will I know it's ready? Probably when I don't wake up in the morning realizing I can fix something. That will be the morning I send it in. Unless it's March 15, then it'll be that day. Ha ha!
Before you go, here's a little bit of Muse to brighten your day! Happy Monday!

Cracks in the window just aggravate the heck out of me.
And I know what you mean about things breaking down AFTER the spouse leaves. Unfortunately, I've had to learn to do many of the fixes myself since hubby only returns twice a month. The only thing I won't touch is electrical problems. That's his domain.
Maria - We also lost the internet this morning - thankfully BEFORE he left. I now have instructions written as to how to reboot the system! I probably rely on him too much...
I don't have to worry about techie breakdowns when my hubby's away - those are my fixing area - but all things automotive I leave to him.
Enjoy the concert.
Linda - Okay, if husband and son aren't available, I know who to call now! Ha ha!
Awesome on the anthology!
I gave you a Shout-Out on my blog today. :)
David - It will be awesome if I get chosen. If I send two, my odds are better - at least I hope so!!
Thanks for the shout out!
Great on the submission at your shore and yeah cracks in the glass make one give sass, cracks in the umm bum gives a gas hum. haha
Pat - Your little rhyming thing there made me laugh, so I had to check you out. I think I would be seriously drained if I wrote in rhyme all the time (oh hey - I did it!). :)
Thanks for visiting!
Congrats on getting your short-stories submitted, it's a lot of work:) Have fun traveling too:) Neat post!
Thanks, Mark! Always nice to see a new follower, too!!
Cracks in the windshield. We had one awhile back. Forgot how much it was to get fixed, but I know I didn't have a coupon.
Ivy - Lucky for us, Geico doesn't charge anything for the fix as long as the crack is shorter than a dollar bill, and this one is. No coupon needed, either!!
