Have any of you seen those commercials (probably for beer,
not really sure - that’s kind of sad, isn’t it?), shown during football games
featuring fans of said games (in all their superstitious paranoia) and ends
with this saying: “It’s only weird if it doesn’t work.”?
Well, I now believe that statement.
While driving to Branson last month, we stopped in St. Louis
Well, until yesterday.
Yesterday my husband and I had to go to Buffalo Wild Wings to
see the Steelers game. The Rams game was on at the same time. So…I wore that
t-shirt UNDER my Steelers jersey, because I wanted both teams to win. Yep, they
both won. I attribute it to the shirt. I will never forget to wear that shirt on
game day again!!
Who knew I could be so superstitious?

LOL. I think this is unique to the sports world.
I foresee a lot of laundering for those shirts.
As a sports fan and a one time player on assorted teams, those commercials make me smile a little (and it's a welcome change from the usual sort of beer commercial). We are a weird bunch, we humans.
Oh, and at Maria--the thing is, since both teams won, Stacy CAN'T launder the shirts--that would break the mojo.
Maria - You think sports only, huh? I'll have to think about that some more...
Jeff - Yes we are a weird bunch. As for washing, well, that shirt got washed between wears already, so apparently that didn't ruin the mojo! Or...maybe it's all a part of it. Hmmm? :)
Those Bud Light commercials are hilarious! I've never considered myself particularly superstitious, but do me a favor and let me know which shirts you're wearing next Sunday, so I can tell my husband which team to pick for his football pool? LOL
Jennette - Well, the Rams are on a bye next week, so I won't be wearing the shirt and just wearing a Steelers shirt hasn't helped the Steelers much this year. He's on his own! Haha :)
Well, when the Red Sox made it to the World Series I tried to grow a beard but alas I couldn't work up the whiskers - so I just wore my jersey and cap instead.
LD - Did you forget to wear them on the games they lost? Because, you know, they didn't SWEEP the Cardinals! :) Now, THAT would have been SWEET!
