Well, hell. Ghostly
Liaison is listed FIRST! Color me shocked.
I know that Bookbub ad helped tremendously. That, and the
fact it’s drawing lots of positive reviews. And boy, does that make me happy!
Maybe I do know
how to write! J
On Saturday, the hubby and I went up to Chicago . Not for any particular reason. Just
for fun. We used our freebie hotel, stayed at a place near the Midway Airport ,
which had free parking and a free shuttle to the airport, and thus the
subway/train station. We walked all over and had dinner at Giordano’s. No, we
didn’t get deep dish pizza (one of these days we’ll have to, I think), but
their sandwiches are pretty awesome, too. At least mine was.
But man, I sure got a good workout. I wanted to stay at the
Navy Pier until the fireworks show (at 10:15), but I just ran out of juice.
Thankfully there was a FREE shuttle to the subway (I love these free things),
so I didn’t have to walk anymore. Well, I had to walk, just not as far. J
My body is still trying to recover. We’ll see if I’m up to
going to the fitness center in the morning.
Oh, and then on Sunday, we jaunted up to Wisconsin and bought a LOT of Kringles!!!!
Are we crazy? Sure! But our freezer is full of some yummy Danish. And who knows
when we’ll make it back up that way.
So… how was your weekend? Do anything fun?
Have a great Monday!!

Congrats on your book!
We got to spend some time yesterday swimming at a local lake. A very nice time with our two girls before the first goes back to college this morning.
Congrats! That's great news!
I painted all weekend. Now I can barely move. LOL. Too much climbing up and down ladders. I think that's my workout for the week.
Jeff - Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Nice and relaxing. Mine was nice, just not so relaxing. Well, except for my brain! Haha!
Maria - See... I'm still trying to recover from all that walking and climbing (of stairs). I wanted to do sooo much more, but this old body just refused to cooperate!
Great post title and yes! You do know how to write!
Sounds like a great weekend. And now your freezer is stocked up but good. Pretty cool.
We hit the road on Saturday, headed south to hit a new comic bookstore, a different Barnes and then Whole Foods. Then worked on stuff at home on Sunday. I wrote two new bakes and Tim did his writing.
Pretty cool weekend.
Ivy - Quiet Sundays are nice, too. I keep saying I can't write when my husband is here, but when he's busy with his own project, I find I can. I just have to make sure he's busy! :)
Congrats on being named a rising star! Hope the publisher is figuring out that whoever said paranormal doesn't sell was wrong.
Next time you visit Chicago, get the deep dish pizza at Gino's East - it's awesome!
As for my weekend, DH was out of town, so vacation! And I finally got some writing in, so that was fun.
Jennette - I saw Gino's East (since it was just down the street from Giordano's). I'll definitely keep that in mind.
