My Amazon giveaway ends at midnight tonight. If you want a
chance to win a copy of Blind Temptation,
here’s the link: https://giveaway.amazon.com/p/b3c987b14528a2ea.
I doubt all the prizes are given away before the deadline.
Know what I learned from this giveaway? That I suck at
advertising.
Then again, I did get a C in that class in college. HATED.
IT.
I also learned that just because other people have success
with something doesn’t mean I will, too.
So, will I do another giveaway with
Amazon? I doubt it. I’ll just stick with giving away stuff to my newsletter
subscribers, or bribe people with a giveaway to subscribe to my newsletter (I will be at three conventions this year)
and hope their word-of-mouth helps me out.
So… Did you watch the Oscars last night? I did. It’s one of
my guilty pleasures, even though I probably didn’t watch any of the movies
nominated.
Happy Monday and leap away!

Advertising is tough, self-promotion is tough. Even if you do everything right, it just may not work, and there's not necessarily a good reason for it.
Didn't watch the Oscars, watched the Bruins, instead. That was a mistake.
The thing with advertising is that it still must reach your audience.
re: Oscars
Didn't see it. I'll read about the highlights later.
Jeff - Can't say I did everything right. What is right anyway? I guess results would be right, huh? Mine sucked, so guess I did it wrong.
Maria - I have to find the audience first before I can reach them and frankly, I'm a little tired of looking. I think I'll just concentrate on my writing for awhile and forget all about marketing. Because I really suck at it! :)
No, I don't watch them.
Sorry the giveaway didn't work out.
Ivy - I live and learn. Right?
