On Friday, Hubby got the call we’ve been waiting for. His
surgery has been moved up to the earliest possible date: April 4 (that’s
because his surgeon is on vacation this week). That’s 21 days earlier than before.
Three weeks this stupid cancer won’t have a chance to grow anymore.
Right now Hubby is enjoying all his favorite foods, because
after the surgery… he’ll probably have a feeding tube down his nose for a few
weeks. Doesn’t sound like fun, but if it means they got all the cancer, he
doesn’t care. I guess I wouldn’t either.
So… Yay! Thanks for all the good vibes. I truly believe they
helped.
In other news… We stuffed ourselves silly yesterday. Found
out that fresh ham tastes a lot like pork (has the same consistency, too). Very
good, though. But then, I love pork. Haha!
Did anyone here see the Batman vs. Superman movie? I haven’t
heard anything good about it, so I didn’t bother. Maybe I’ll watch it when it
comes out on DVD. Which reminds me, I still want to get the DVD of The Martian.
Now that looks like a fun movie.
Have a great Monday!
Stacy

That's great news! I am keeping you both in my prayers.
re: movies
I've been hearing the Batman movie is overlong and dark, but still interesting. I'll wait for the dvd.
The Martian is a great movie though. Definitely put that on your queue.
Maria - I'll have to make a trip to WalMart and get The Martian. Apparently, it's been out awhile. D'oh!
Yay for the moved-up date! I'll definitely keep him in my thoughts for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
Glad you enjoyed your weekend and got some good news, too. Haven't seen Batman/Superman, but we did see Zootopia last week--it was much better than I thought. Have a good week!
The Martian IS a great movie. (And an even better book.)
I'm glad you got good news. Kick Cancer in the butt!
Jennette - Thanks! It certainly was the best news we could have gotten on Friday!
Jeff - Not sure what Zootopia is, but I see it got high rankings on Rotten Tomatoes.
J Lenni - Thanks for the comment and all the friend requests (Facebook, Goodreads). I see you're also a fan of Write Club. Great contest. Yes, we definitely want to kick cancer's butt!
Congratulations on getting the surgery moved up. We've been waiting 3 weeks to hear about Robert's surgery as well. What is it with these doctors and vacations?
Best of luck with everything if I don't see you around.
Anne - It always seems like we catch surgeons during their vacations I did, when I thought I was going to have heart surgery, and now Hubby. Like they're not entitled, right? At least Hubby's surgeon should be well rested!!
Here's to good vibes and healing wishes.
