My Website

Have any of you ever ventured over to my website? I finally got my husband to freshen it up some for me.

I took pictures of the moon one night when I came home. The clouds were just so and I liked the the way they looked. Apparently, I can't hold a camera very steady and most of my moon shots were blurry, but I managed to find a decent one in the bunch and fix it up. This is the moon shot I tried to put as background of my blog title, but it kept coming up black. At least I know it's not the picture, now!

Anyway, do you think my website is lame? Until I'm published, I just don't know what to put on there! But I got one of my name, so I guess that's all that counts for now.

UPDATE: If you can't access my website, there's nothing wrong on your end. Our computer was disconnected today, so it's possible it won't be back up until after 5pm EST 12/29/11. **GRUMBLE**

I don't think it's lame. But it doesn't have a lot on it. What would you put on it if you were published?

Thanks for remembering that I only have five to go. I'm having a good bit of fun with my challenge.

I do remember seeing this a long time ago. I don't think it's lame. And like the Happy Whisk asks, what would you put there if you were published? My author blog/website has all of my covers on the side bar. I think covers would like nice on yours.

Good question, Whisk - what WOULD I put on my website if I were published? Well, the only reason I even go to my favorite author's websites is to see if a new book has been released (or is due to be released). So, maybe I don't need to add anything right now.

Anne - If I had covers, I'd put them up. But I'm not THAT creative. I can write, but ART is beyond me.

Thanks for checking out the site, though. I REALLY appreciate it.

I don't know what's up with my computer, but the page won't load. I've tried clicking the link, copy & pasting the URL and two different browsers it won't open for me. I'm sure it's something on my end, but it probably won't hurt to check it out just in case ...

Vicki,
It's on my end. Our computer at home must have reset (yes, we have our own server). I thought my husband had fixed that little problem. Looks like we'll have another talk about that.
Thanks!

I think I want to hit my husband.
Seems he took the computer into work and failed to inform me.
So - no computer, no website.
Ugh!

What else do you like about other Web sites? Do the authors you enjoy do a blog on their site or anything else besides give release dates?

Stacy, congrats on the website update! I think I checked it out a while ago. There's nothing wrong with that, especially if you're unpublished. Heck, it has pretty much what my site has, and I *am* published! Bio, books, blog - that's enough for most of us, especially just starting out. I like the moon photo, too!

Whisk - I know what I don't like. I don't like some of the bells and whistles other websites have that take forever to refresh. So I stuck with simple. But I do have a link to my blog on my website. I just wish I was more talented to make it pretty - or maybe I should wish my husband was more talented, since he's the one who created the whole thing (I only supplied the content).

Jennette - Thanks for checking it out. I kind of like the moon, too. I tried to go for a paranormal feel. Plus, I just LOVE the moon!

I'm not into sites or even blogs, that are loaded down with ads. My gosh, I hate that and generally never go back to that site or blog, again.

Hope your weekend is going well. I'm in my new jams and ready to settle in for the night. Early morning prep tomorrow and then Sunday and Monday off.

Woohoo.
