Oh, but do I? My editor sent the galley to My Sunny Vampire
(it’s kind of cool to think I have a galley, really!) to proofread for any
errors. So, looks like some of my writing time here is going to be spent
reading, that’s if I don’t decide to take a walk down to the Cheesecake Factory
(so tempting…so tempting). Okay, maybe there are MORE distractions here than at
home. Oh well…
I learned something about my bike on Friday. My butt doesn’t
like sitting for 12.7 miles. My legs didn’t seem to mind, though (thanks to the
gym). I do plan on getting some exercise while here (I made sure to bring my
log book because sometimes I think when I don’t take it, I slack off using my
memory as an excuse!). There is also a walking path nearby my husband wants to
walk after class each day (as long as it’s not raining, that is). I’ll let you
know how I do. Must keep moving if I want to lose any weight (because, yeah,
cutting back on food isn’t working so well).
My daughter’s Footy team lost their game on Saturday, L
BUT she managed to score a point! J That is a FIRST for
her (since she normally plays defense). YAY!
The game was supposed to be live-streamed (or whatever)
through YouTube, but I guess they were having difficulties and it never came
through. I watched this black screen for awhile, which had a note for me to “Stay
tuned. Event starting soon.” Then it switched to “Event is over. Thanks for
watching.” Guess they thought they WERE showing it. Ooops.
If I drank wine, I’d toast to a productive week, but I don’t
drink the stuff (yuck). I’ll just stick to my Diet Dr. Pepper w/Cherry instead.
So here’s to a productive week!!
What are your plans this first week of August? Anything
exciting? Any trips? Or is it the same-old, same-old?

Funny, I was thinking of using The Devil Went Down to Georgia as a Musical Monday entry on my blog some time soon. I haven't heard that song in years. Enjoy your week in Georgia!
If your bike doesn't already have one, change out your seat to one of those cushy gel seats. Much more comfortable.
I'm going to meet some cousins I haven't met before, so that should be fun! Have fun with your galleys!
Jeff - I haven't heard that song in awhile either, so was surprised it came to my mind while outside!
Maria - My bike has one of those BIG seats (a prerequisite to purchasing). If I can't get used to it (and I'm sure that's what I need to do ), I'll look into one of those gel ones.
Jennette - Have fun with your visit. I'm sure I have a few cousins out there I've never met, too. When the bulk of them are in NJ and you're living in CA, it's not so easy to get together!
Sorry your daughter didn't win but glad she got a point. Very cool. And wow on reading about the progress on your book. Lovin' it.
Keep up the excellent work.
Ivy - I'm glad you're enjoying the progress on my book. I'm liking it pretty much, too! HeeHee.
Have a nice time in Georgia!
My butt hates my bike seat. I even tried a soft gel seat and it still was not happy. I call the feeling "bike bum" and it goes away the more I get out riding, so it is a good motivator for me! :)
Jen - See, that's what I thought: that my butt would just have to get used to the ride. At least I don't have one of those tiny seats! :)
