Ruby Falls -Yay! Pictures!

I don't know what Blogger's problem was, and I was still having problems, but apparently if I just kept selecting pictures, they started taking, so I selected ALL my pictures first, then filled them in. Whatever works, huh? Anyway, here are the pictures I was going to show you in yesterday's post! Better late than never, huh?

Remember, if you click on the photo, it should enlarge (notice, I said SHOULD).

That wavy rock is actually quite thin and
hanging from the ceiling.

This is up on the ceiling -- lots of tiny stalagtites.

They label some of the formations - apparently this one
looks like a fish. Can you see it?

This is to show how low the ceiling is, and this was one
of the high spots!

Ruby Falls!
The light is artificial, of course!

The falls end up in a 5' pool. This shot made me think:
"Beam me up, Scotty!"

This is the back of the opening, where the falls
had carved it all. I think they just liked
using blue light!

If you can see through the haze/fog, you'll see
Chattanooga (I think). That is the Tennessee River.

Another shot from Lookout Mountain.
Overall, we walked about a mile to and from the falls. So what do you think? Lame or cool?

Cool. Definitely cool.

Makes me realize I haven't been to Howe's Caverns in about eight years now, and I only live 45 minutes away....

Ooo, pretty. That wavy rock is awesome.

And yep, that's Chattanooga. It has a great aquarium if you're ever down that way again.

Jeff - There are caverns close to us, too, and they're pretty cool. No waterfalls, though.

Mac - Glad to hear!

B.E. - I saw something about the aquarium. Maybe next time we will (as I'm sure there will BE a next time). Sometimes I think my husband's life won't be complete until he's seen every one!

Maria - I wish we were able to stop more often to take better pictures, but the tour guide kept pushing us onward.

Ivy - My pleasure!!

Jennette - Don't know if it was Blogger or Internet Explorer. But I was ready to try Chrome (which I don't like) if I couldn't get it posted this last time!

No, there very cool! Thanks for sharing, Stacy!
My wife took the boys and I to a local cave a few years ago. It was a really cool experience. I'm not sure it was as interesting as these photos suggest, but I can still recall a few points of interest. I like the "Beam me up, Scotty" photo as well. :)

Hi Jimmy! Yeah, that one photo just reminded me of Star Trek. Hey, maybe they got the idea from there! Haha!
