Also, between the three conferences, I managed to add 29 more
subscribers to my newsletter. Not too shabby, huh?
But you want to know what maybe the best part of the whole
thing was? I got to pick up Darynda Jones from the airport and drive her 45
miles to the hotel! She’s one of my most favorite authors. Sometimes
volunteering turns out awesome (because I had volunteered before knowing who I
was driving).
So… I had a great weekend (couldn’t you tell?). I hope you
did, too. But just trying to get caught up and work on the submissions I’m
judging and then realizing I had to put out my newsletter and announce a winner
of the autographed book, and then realizing I still haven’t written anything
for the blog, well, it just about did me in. So glad it’s all done with. Now
maybe I can get back to finishing Ghostly Interlude. Is there something in your
life you’ve been putting off and can’t wait to get back to?
Have a great Monday!
Stacy

Hey, congratulations on the book sales! Sounds like a busy time right now, but it's good to be busy, right?
Congratulations!! I've always said that volunteering at cons is one of the BEST things an author can do to help her career. Good for you.
Me? I keep putting off my vacation. Something else always comes up. :(
Yay! Congrats on the book sales and squee for meeting Darynda Jones!
This morning, I'm putting off everything. I'm totally unmotivated today. I don't know if I can't wait to get back to everything, but I do need to. Later. After several more cups of coffee.
Jeff - Depends on the busy, I think. Busy writing would be GREAT. Busy cleaning the house, running errands, etc., not so much. Haha!
Maria - Think of a vacation as recharging. Even a phone needs to do that. Which reminds me...
Okay, I'm back. It was down to 36%. :) I hope you finally take that vacation. Make a reservation somewhere that can't be cancelled easily. You'll be glad you did.
Beth - Darynda recognized me, too (from the numerous times I have met her), just didn't know my name. Maybe she'll remember that now? I can only hope. Right now I'm putting off washing the kitchen floor. It needs it, too. As soon as I'm done on the computer... Yeah, does that EVER really happen? Haha!
Gratz on the book sales! It's always exciting when strangers buy our books. :)
I put off cleaning the refrigerator so long, I was afraid my daughter would call a HAZMAT crew when she gets home from Germany. Now I'm glad I did it, because it's like having a new fridge!
Congratulations on the sales. You're really going great guns these days. Ha! I remember when you first lost your job. You've come a long way baby!
Jennette - I hate cleaning the refrigerator, too. Right now it doesn't hold that much, so it's pretty clean! Haha!
Anne - Yep, 2 years ago this month I lost my job with no prospects of being published and now I have FOUR books published. I'd say that was good!
CONGRATS!
Ivy - Thanks! Happy dancin' here! :)
