Well… it seems when I write, I don’t read as much. And I’ve been writing—or rather, re-writing—a lot. I’m almost done with the fixes to Ghostly Protector. Then I get to start over, read from the beginning, and maybe stick in some clues (since this is sort of a mystery—it was to me!). But I can see the end from here and I’m so happy!!!
Here’s what I read since my last update:

Blurb from Goodreads: Finally, readers of the Neighborly Affection series get the other side of the story...
Jay Kress knows his lover is into the girl next door. As a polyamorous bisexual guy, he’s cool with that. And he’s pretty sure the gal is into Henry, too, if their explosive dinner party is any clue.
But now he'll have to tackle a submissive’s toughest job: getting his lovers to make the leap from occasional sex to the permanent triad relationship he knows they deserve. Their hearts are made for each other—and the sexual perks ain’t bad, either.
With an overcautious dominant on one side and a newcomer to the lifestyle on the other, Jay knows he has to tread lightly, but he can't help pushing for more. Can he bring Henry and Alice together before their fear of losing each other dooms them all?
Read Tuesdays with Jay and Other Stories side by side with Playing the Game and Crossing the Lines to see the bigger picture of how Henry, Alice, and Jay found their forever love.
Recommend: Yes (for readers of the series)
My thoughts: I had read these shorts from the newsletter M.Q. sent out quarterly, but thought it would be good to read them again to get ready for book #7 in the series (since it’s been awhile). It was fun reading. I love Jay.
Cruise News: It was great. While the weather was a bit hot and humid at every island we visited (Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Barbados, St Lucia, St Maarten, and St Thomas), we explored some new places and created some memories. Not all great, though. I ended up getting a cold (not COVID) and while I was looking for a tissue on the way back to the ship in Barbados, I tripped over a pothole and really skinned my knee good. And then it took several people to help me up (since I couldn’t get on my knees to do that). At least I didn’t break anything!
Also on the cruise, it turned out that one of our table mates at dinner had read my books! We were just talking about Facebook and social media and I mentioned that I was only on Facebook because I was told that’s where my readers are. The next day she asked what kind of books I wrote. I mentioned the series and her eyes lit up. Did I make her cruise? I don’t know, but she sure helped make mine better!
Who knew that diving back into Ghostly Protector would get the characters to start talking to me again? Who knew? I didn’t. Although, I really don’t think I was ready to hear them before. Some people think it was getting that clear CT scan that did the trick. Maybe it was the cruise. I really don’t know what did it. But I’m glad it happened.
Happy Reading!
Stacy
