A Blog To Keep Me Awake

Today is slow.

It's not a good thing, I don't think, to nod off at your desk.

I'm sure as soon as 5:00 pm comes around and the cold air hits my face, I'll be awake enough to drive home.

Actually, I think seeing 5:00 pm will be enough.

So, how do you make a quiet, boring day at work go FASTER?

It's after five here, hope the last part of your work day picked up, and that you're home veggin' out now. Cheers.

Yep. Veggin' out in front of my laptop, writing. Oh wait. That's not veggin' is it?

My husband is veggin' though. He's asleep on the other end of the couch!! :)

Start a project that you need to finish but you never could reasonably do so in the time allotted.
Hope you made it through the day without dozing.

Erin, If I had a project, I wouldn't have been bored. In my case, I had finished all my work and I had NOTHING. It's like the e-mails shut down for the afternoon.

Normally in times like that, I open up my WIP and write (shhh!). But I was stuck on a scene, so I wasn't in the mood to try and figure it out at work. Thus, the stupid blog post was written! I killed two things. Got a blog posted, and woke up!

Thanks for stopping by!!

I hope today is less boring for you. If not, the only thing I can suggest is finding something to organize - the files on your computer or hard files usually worked for me. Or you could create a spreadsheet for some kind of data. (Yeah, I'm the geek who played with spreadsheets when I was bored.)

B.E. - I'm hoping, too, but at least yesterday morning was busy. Not so today. Oh well, last day before my long weekend. Guess I can't complain too much!

Oh - I'm one of those kinds of geeks, too. But the Access databases only requires so much tweaking. My procedures are also all up to date, so I can't even update those. I'm just too efficient, that's all there is to it!
