No Wednesday Reads. Life Has Been…Busy

I haven’t finished a book this week. Partly because I was busy with RAGT. Partly because I just didn’t feel like reading (which doesn’t bode well for the book I’m reading, does it?). So much for being two books ahead. I’m right on schedule now, but fear I’ll be one book behind before too long.

Ahhh, but I only have TWO more contest submissions to judge and then THAT will be over. Whew!

Of course, I’m thinking that contest has a LOT to do with me not wanting to read, too. One of the stories I was judging was just a bit too close to the book I’m reading and I started getting the stories mixed up. Oops. Better to just not read and finish judging, huh?

Between RAGT and my constant doctor visits, I feel like I haven’t been to the fitness center in ages. Monday I had a follow-up appointment which will now require a referral to another doctor in Cleveland (Yes, my condition is serious. No, I’m not feeling sick. Go figure!), and yesterday I had a cyst aspirated from my breast (that thing popped up out of nowhere, just wanting to compound my misery I guess). Not a fun event, but man, I feel better. I swear, I felt like I needed to breast feed a baby!

I still need to exercise, though (doctor’s orders, now), but after the aspiration, I have to wait a bit before I lift weights. So I guess I won’t be doing that until Thursday or Friday. Hope the weather is nice so I can go walking. I’d rather walk outside than on the treadmill because when I walk on the treadmill, I like to read and since I don’t want to do that… Man, what a mess, huh?

So… Have I totally depressed you? I think I depressed myself. So cheer me up. What fun thing are you doing today?

Oh, man. I'm sorry you're having health problems. :hugs: That sounds like it hurt. Breasticle issues are never fun, but man. Ouch.

I wish I had some fun things planned to tell you about. I'll just be doing the usual here - reading, writing, editing, etc. It's supposed to be up in the 90s today, so whatever happens will happen inside.

Beth - Reading, writing, and editing sound fun. 90 degrees does not. It's supposed to get warm here, too, but not that hot (yet, I think). Took my walk in the morning when it was still cool (and breezy). About time to close the upstairs windows, though. Don't want to heat the house! :)

UGH on the medical stuff - hope all is better soon!

I can understand not being able to read for fun while judging a contest--that's reading too, and the same kind of books! Hope you get some good ones there!

I'm at work right now, so sorry, nothing fun to share. Tonight, I'm formatting an ebook. I enjoy doing that, but most people don't!

Jennette - Actually, it's just the first twenty pages and of the 8, I enjoyed the last one (figures, huh?).

I can't say I don't enjoy formatting a book. I'm sure it's not so bad (and I like playing around with crap like that), but I just see it as time-consuming. Too many things are time-consuming nowadays. Gotta pick and choose.

I'm sorry to hear you're plagued with health issues. I feel you there.

All you can do is take it one step at a time and hope they come up with a diagnosis that doesn't require more than an aspirin.

Good luck.

Maria - Unfortunately, I already know what the diagnosis is. AND the treatment. It's the WHEN. That's the issue. Not looking forward to it, especially since I feel fine now.

I'm sorry that you're not feeling well right now. Best of luck with all the doctor visits, and feel better soon!

Jeff - Thanks! Physically, I feel fine right now. It's all that stupid worrying going on in my head that's causing me problems. Now, if I could just shut THAT off! Haha! :)
