Pictures From the Madrigal Dinner

I don’t have much to say today, so I’ll just post pictures from Saturday night’s Madrigal Dinner (not that I have a lot of them).

Clockwise from left: Daughter, Son, Son's Girlfriend, and Girlfriend's Daughter (who I think is sticking her tongue out at me--haha!)

Wright State University Carol Singers

Two of the performers

The musicians (not that you can see much of them!)

Daughter and Son dancing a skit (it was quite humorous)

So… Are any of you planning on seeing the new Star Wars movie this week? I might wait until the day after Christmas. I know I’ll get tickets as soon as they go on sale (once I determine just how many of us are going--should know tonight).

Happy Monday!

Stacy

I was totally obsessed with Star Wars when it first came out, but I never really got into the whole series/trilogy/prequels. The first movie was great fun; I don't quite get why it never held me beyond that.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing!

I never got into the second set of Star Wars trilogies (the prequels). I loved the first three though. It was a breakthrough in special effects not seen since 2001: A Space Odyssey--which is now old hat.

I'm taking a wait and see attitude to the new installment. I'll probably see it eventually but after the crowds die down.

Jeff - Fell in love with the first three that came out. Wasn't impressed the with next three prequels. Almost too dark and boring. I'm looking forward to this next one, though.

Maria - I remember watching Star Wars for the first time. I couldn't believe how real it looked! The opening hooked me! Kids want to see Star Wars for Christmas, so I'm okay with going, even if it is crowded.

No movie house for me. Not sure if Frankenberry will pop in and give it a watch or now.

Happy New Week.

Ivy - Guess you'll just have to wait for it to show up on DVD, huh?

I've heard those Madrigal dinners are wonderful, though I've never been.

Will wait to see Star Wars until the crowds die down. I loved the first three (episodes 4-6), so I bet this one will be good. But it's so all over the commercials, I'm already half sick of it. It will have to be something pretty special to live up to the hype.

Jennette - Don't watch many commercials since we record most everything and zip through them. The few commercials I've seen have shown during football games (since we don't record those), but it hasn't been that many, so I'm not tired of them yet.

I'm not into Star Wars. I like a few fun Star Wars adverts and/or jokes, but the movies themselves, not so much. I'd rather do something fun with my time.

I've never been to a Madrigal dinner, but how fun! No, I'm not going to see the new Star Wars movie. I didn't even see the last ones they came out with.

Ivy - Fun, like cook, right? :)

Stephanie - I love going to the Madrigal dinner that Wright State University puts on every year. Good entertainment and lots of yummy food!

Cooking and baking are super fun, to me.
