As for me IN the book signing event… Well, I sat between
Hildie McQueen and Crista McHugh, who each had pile of books next to my piddly
little two piles. I didn’t sell any of the anthologies (not that I thought I
would, thus the piddly size), but I did hand out lots of post cards and
informed everyone who took a card that my book was available as an e-book on
B&N and Amazon. By the time the book signing event came along, most people
didn’t want to buy ANY books. They were already pretty much filled up with
freebies they had to lug home! I remember that feeling, too!
The last event I attended on Sunday was the Military Mixer.
The surprise was being asked to go up front and join the other RomVets (it’s a
group I belong with—veterans who write romance—www.romvets.com) in attendance.
There were seven of us there and we were told to tell a little about ourselves.
What???? Yeah, I about died. Especially since I followed Lindsay McKenna, who
told a heart wrenching story. You try following that (but hey, she hugged me,
so all's good). Later, our group picture was taken, which MIGHT end up in a
future issue of RT magazine, or maybe just their blog/website/Facebook page. I
was asked for my name and publisher (by Kathryn Falk, no less!!), so there’s
hope I’ll show up somewhere. Now THAT would be cool.
As my title explains, I’m still traveling (left NOLA at noon
yesterday and stopped in Nashville
for the evening). I expect to be home sometime this afternoon. Looking forward
to sleeping in my own bed tonight! And then back to writing tomorrow. Whoo hoo!

I'm on the road too. But I'm willing to bet you had more fun than I'm having right now. LOL.
Still packing and cleaning the other house.
Sounds like an eventful event! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Stacy,
It sounds like you had a busy weekend. Did you take any pictures?
There really is no place
like home. Safe travels
back. Cheers and boogie
boogie.
Thanks, all! I made it home safe and sound. Yay!
Oh, and Bonnie, and DID take some pictures. Hope to post some on Friday.
Regardless of your book "pile," just being at a signing is so cool.
Michael - Guess I do have to admit, it was pretty cool being on the OTHER side of the table! :)
