I’m going to have some buttons made up to give away at
conventions. This is the design I came up with (thanks to J. Mick Consulting
for adding the fang holes and Maria Zannini
for getting the writing/layout the way I wanted). By the way, the picture of
the moon is mine (meaning I took it).
So… what do you think? The buttons will be 1-3/4” wide. I
know it won’t reflect my ghost book, but I’ve got Blind Temptation coming out
soon, so that’s what I’m focusing on.
If anyone has any ideas of how to go about making a fun
(cheap) button for my ghost series, I’m all ears (eyes?).
Have a great Monday!
Stacy

Cool!
I'm curious. How come you didn't go with a dark blue background?
Maria - I just used the photo, so that's the color of the sky. All my husband's friend did was add the teeth marks to the moon. And then you added the lettering (and made my URL all curvy--thanks for that!!). Am I missing something?
It could be the shift between CMYK (print) and RGB (on the monitor).
If it looks blue/black to you on the CMYK version, you're fine.
When Frankenberry goes to gaming cons, he always gets pins. Fun stuff.
I don't know how to make them for cheap. Have you YOUTUBED, it?
That's a fun button you've created there, Stacy. It looks really good.
Ivy - Love your smiley heart! When I said "cheap" ghost button, I meant cheap in designing. I'm having the buttons made at purebutton.com, which seems reasonably priced for me. But I got lucky with this design. My daughter actually suggested the bitten moon and my husband bought the bite marks for a buck--see...cheap! I am not graphically talented, so I have to rely on others. And right now I can't even think of how to make a fun button for my ghost series. :P
Jeff - Thanks! I'm hoping they're a conversation starter anyway!
Fun button! I'd love something like that if I went to a con. Fresh out of ideas for your ghostly button, though.
Great button and awesome slogan! They'll be snapped up quickly! :)
Beth - I'm glad you like it. I'm hoping they'll be a hit.
DL - That's what I'm hoping. Now to figure out exactly how many I'll need... :)
I like it!
