The first one was of CHiPS.
I loved that series. I grew up with that series. I lived in
the land of CHiPS . Now it’s a comedy. A comedy!
Really? Gosh, can’t people think up new stuff anymore? Which leads me to the
other movie preview I saw during that horrible, horrible game.
Kong: Skull
Island .
Have there not been enough King Kong movies? Create a dang
new monster, will you? Like the killer stink bug or something.
Because stink bugs…. UGH! I hate those things!
And yes, I did find one in my house last week. Why do you
ask? J
So… What movie do you refuse to watch that’s coming out this
year?
Happy Monday and Go Falcons! (**sniff, sniff**)

No, we will not talk about that game. Except that the Patriots should be a little concerned about the Falcons.
CHiPS looks idiotic.
However, I am excited for Skull Island. It will be a very different Kong film from the others.
I'm still waiting for a King Kong vs. Godzilla rematch where Kong becomes ape flambe.
yeah...go Atlanta!
I always rooted for Godzilla in that one, Alex!
I am so out of the loop on movies it's not funny. Regarding CHIPS, I think this is just part of that thing where the people who grew up watching and loving certain TV shows are in decision-making positions now. And the money guys think, "Yeah, there's enough people like you out there to make this worth our while."
The game that shall not be mentioned was the one in Pittsburgh yesterday afternoon. I stepped away from my computer to help make dinner when it went 3-1, glad I didn't see the rest of the ugliness. Bruins actually looked pretty good for a lot of the game, then the wheels fell off (aka, Rask left; maybe he knew where things were heading).
I avoid political movies...and Batman movies. LOL.
I'm on the fence with Kong. I still don't think they've done it right yet.
Alex - I've seen 3 King Kong films. I've seen enough of them.
Mac - Fan or just hate that other team like I do?
Jeff - Make money, like 21 Jump Street did? By the way, I didn't watch that movie, either.
Maria - There is one Batman movie coming out I'm tempted to watch: The Batman Lego movie. It just looks funny.
DH and I turned that game off halfway through the second half. Just couldn't watch any more!
We both have said we can't watch A Dog's Purpose. Looks like way too much of a tearjerker, even if the dog does come back!
Jennette - Yeah, I'm not fond of pet tear-jerkers, either. Don't make me cry unless it's a happy cry!! :)
I hate stink bugs, too.
Ivy - Yeah, they're freaky!
My son really wanted the Steelers to win. Me, I don't follow sports. But, Go Patriots!!
As for over-done movie tropes: you can trash any Spiderman, Batman, Disney Princess types, or horror movies that kill teenagers that sneak off to have sex. Yeah, come on Hollywood, come up with something new.
Donna - No, no, no to the Patriots. Can't stand that team.
