I don't remember when this all started, but tonight is the end.
The end of what, you ask?
Watching the television series, Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, on DVD.
We're down to the last four episodes and since we normally watch four a week, well, it doesn't take a math genius to determine we'll be finished.
I have to say, when my daughter first introduced me to this series, I was a bit skeptical. But I write paranormal romances, with vampires even, and it only seemed right that I should watch the series. And – surprise – I've enjoyed it!
We have also been watching Angel, mainly because there are several cross-over episodes and my daughter didn't want me to get confused. Actually, I think she just wanted to get me to watch that series, too, and it worked (I mean, who doesn't love David Boreanez!).
So, after this week, it will be down to just Angel until that series is finished.
What's next you ask?
Firefly. Gotta find out what those Browncoats are all about!

Love Firefly! Watch the series before you watch the movie (Serenity).
Yeah, after the series, we'll be watching the movie. I just remember my daughter being so heartbroken when the series was cancelled (at the time I had no idea what it was, well, I guess I still don't). She's a huge fan (still attends Browncoat parties in the area, too).
Oh my gosh, woman. You haven't seen Firefly yet? Such a good show. Sadly, when it first aired, they went with the name Firefly and I believe at least, that that name hurt them. But now ... it has a cult following.
Great show.
The only reason I can think of as to why I never watched Firefly was because I never saw ads for it on TV. I'm sure if I had, I would have watched it (because I like Nathan Fillian). Back then, my daughter didn't always share.
I always found Spike way more hot than Angel (although I enjoy that actor in Bones).
Karen M. Moning's Fever series starts out with a Buffy-ish feel, but becomes its own beast quickly. A great read.
Also, the actress that played Faith in Buffy had her own (unrelated) show that I really enjoyed. Tru Calling. Supernatural mystery. It was short lived but entertaining.
New follower - yay!
I never read any of Moning's books, but I believe she will be at a convention/conference I'll be attending this year. I may have to give her a try.
I know all about Eliza Dushku. My daughter loves her (we saw her at Dragon*Con, too). But I haven't seen Tru Calling (although my daughter has the series on DVD, so it's possibly in my future!).
You will be so heartbroken when you watch that final episode of Firefly...knowing that they cancelled something so awesome!!!! If you liked Buffy/Angel...you'll flip over Firefly!! :)
DL - I know how heartbroken my daughter was! Well, still is! Almost makes me afraid to watch. Almost.
Buffy is great, I loved Angel, but Firefly is by far my favorite. Husband got it for me for Christmas. :)
Hi Melissa! Long time no see. My daughter has all the series, so we watch hers. Plus, she's watching them with us (of which she'll take any excuse to watch them again).
Hope all is going well for you!
