Of course, I can expect the redness and swelling to continue
for another two weeks. Not that it’s been all that red or swollen now. Even the
techs said my skin handled the treatments pretty well.
Hmmm… Does that mean I have thick skin? Maybe being a writer
helped!!
Next step in my treatment will be hormone therapy. I got my
pills yesterday, but can wait two weeks before starting them.
Not that I’m looking forward to it. The side effects scare
me. But I promised I would try them. I can only hope that I handle the pills as
well as the radiation.
So… Are you in the path of winter storm Hunter? We are. The
snow doesn’t bother me as much as the expected ice. Hubby is working from home
today (and told his crew to do the same). No one needs to be driving in the
ice. And thank goodness I don’t have to drive ANYWHERE!!
That’s because I’m done, I’m done, I’m done!!!
Happy Friday!
Stacy

Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations! What a relief to be past that, and I'm glad you've continued to feel good throughout. The thing to remember about side effects: just because something is listed as a side effect, doesn't mean you'll have it!
It's raining here right now, but I am concerned, as there's A LOT of water moving across the landscape right now. We're supposed to take the Catbird back to school on Saturday, which is supposed to be windy, snowy and all kinds of nasty. I think I will lobby for going back Sunday instead, which is supposed to be windy and clear--but very cold. Tough choice.
Enjoy your weekend!
That's awesome you're done! Hopefully the pills will go down the same way.
We're just getting a heck of a lot of rain today. You stay safe.
Much congrats on being done. Here's hoping the pills work well for you and yikes on the ice. So many of us are due to get it. Fun, fun.
Jeff - We're just getting rain right now, but the temps are hovering around freezing, so I expect the ice or snow is due any time now. Ugh.
Alex - I sure hope the pills are easy!
Ivy - I hate ice. I hope it's forecasted worse than it ends up being!
So far here it's just been rain, rain, rain.
But Tim texted from town and said most of the town was shutting down early and closing up.
That's the best news I've read all day.
I'm so glad. Now you can concentrate on more important things...like building your new house. :)
Most excellent news! Yippee! Thankfully, for today's ice storm, I was permitted to use vacation hours to beat the storm home. Sure hoping it doesn't get in the way of the COFW meeting tomorrow. I hope your body will handle the pill part well, too.
Ivy - It's been a pretty nasty day here. And getting colder by the hour, too.
Maria - I'm excited about the new house! I think it's just what we both needed.
Shari - I hope the meeting isn't cancelled, either, but I'm sure the weather will keep people away if it's a go. Won't keep me away, though.
