I survived the heat.
Don't know if you could say I was depressed. I probably was for a bit – after the shock wore off. But after a couple of days, I was able to go to sleep without my mind going over everything thing I had done. Or worse, going over all the unfinished stuff I had left behind. Once I told myself it was their tough luck – I didn't leave them in a lurch, they kicked me out – I was able to stop thinking that way at least.
The comments from my last post also helped lift my spirits, so thanks for that.
Now I just feel inconvenienced. It's a pain searching for another job. Kind of depressing, too (I only have my own abysmal record to go by). All I can do is send out resumes and hope for the best.

And while I'm waiting, I have my writing. And an empty house. I could probably get used to that! We'll soon find out.
I don't have any pictures of my vacation yet (the camera is around here somewhere). Too busy with the editing (Book #3) and laundry. And probably a bit of laziness, too. Okay, maybe a lot.

Glad you're back. It was hot wasn't it? I was outside fixing the pool in 105 degrees. Still haven't gotten in it yet. It rained last night and the temp is like only in the upper 70's. I'm not complaining. It's nice to not run the a/c.
I never thought I'd think 90 degree weather is cool, but after the week we had in AR, that's what it feels like in OH now. After the storm that came through last night, it almost felt COLD, yet was probably in the mid 70's. Not complaining, though. Nope. Not me!
Your writing plus and empty house could equal a Happy Writer.
And the heat here continues! Another week forecasted above 100 each day, with no rain in sight! :(

Did you visit the 19th century bathhouses? They are pretty neat.
We went once (it was hot then too) but it was a little more tolerable driving around the nearby hills. Beautiful.
Maria - Yeah, we saw the bathhouses, thanks to our friend. She wanted to visit them. I had no idea what they were!
